# API Gateways

The **API Gateway** source category facilitates seamless Integration with external API gateways for centralized API management. Pynt continuously monitors the gateway for any changes, ensuring that the API catalog stays up-to-date with the latest information.

To add an API Gateway source, select the '**Production**' category when adding a new source, then choose '**API Gateway'**.
